A Gift of Thanks!

If you’re in the USA I hope you had a great Turkey day :-)

Today, I want to share a couple of things with you…

1) A very touching video I taped of my Dad

2) An invitation to help a soldier reunite with this family
for the holidays

1) A very touching video I taped of my Dad

The video you are about to see is something that brought
tears of joy to my eyes (and a choked up voice as you’ll hear
in a minute)

It started with a phone call from my sister…

She called and said that our Dad has been really worried
lately about money and retirement. My Dad is the type of
man that doesn’t usually talk about what’s going on inside;
he tends to keep everything bottled up.

So when my sister called and told me that he expressed his
worry to her recently, we knew it must be more serious
than we originally thought.

Growing up, my Dad was…

…the hardest working man I’d ever known. He never called
in sick to work. He never complained. He did what he had
to do to take care of his family. We didn’t grow up poor.
We didn’t grow up rich. We we’re middle class. But let me
tell you something… our Dad managed to give us kids a
great childhood and we love him very much for it!

And my sister…

She is the most generous person you will ever meet in your
life…

Ever since I can remember, she has always gone overboard
during the holidays and would spend way more on her friends
and family than she probably should have.

Why should this year be any different, I thought. Especially
since she had a great year with her new job.

I really shouldn’t have been so surprised when she told me
what she had bought our Dad for Christmas (yes, this was an
early Christmas gift.)

I won’t spoil it for you… just Click here to watch the
video I captured of this emotional daughter/father moment.

I titled it: “A Gift of Thanks!”

for the holidays.

I told Henry I would help him without compensation. So
please help him reunite with his family, if you can :-)

Happy Holidays!
